Awaken from my peacefull sleep Wrapped in a crimson embrace Warm and wet, almost pleasing But the stench turns my stomach Gagging and wretching Feeble attempts to stand Leave me on my knees I feel like a child Weak and longing For a friendlly hand Yet all I get Are icy stares And harsh words Stinging like the lashes of a whip Except no one but me will see theses scars So I retreat further inward Hiding behind these walls Frightened While I let the crimson embrace Stiffle me forever

The salty tears pour from my eyes Staining my skin with wet trails Downward, trickling down my cheeks And dripping off my chin Like raindrops off of leaves Yet nothing I do stops the tears They just keep comming Like someone loosened a faucet Somewhere hidden behind my eyes Draining me completely dry Leaving me empty of everything Even when the tears stop The traces still remain on my face My rosey cheeks stiff with salt My eyes burning like tiny embers Yet somehow this libiration Makes me feel more trapped A prisoner within myself Raddling the cage to my cell Begging someone to let me out Yet all I hear is my voice echo

I lay alone on my bed Staring up at the ceiling Thinking abut my life And what I've done with it Have I left my mark on this world? Have I inspired others to do great things? Have I done right by those I love? Or have I failed at all I've tried to achieve? All I ever wanted to do Was to shine in a world so dark But it seems that every time I try Someone snuffs out my light But now that doesn't matter Change is staring me in the face Stay the same, or assimilate Live or die, it's your choice Guess now I see how strong I am To fight back those that snuff me out And let my light shine once again And live up to my full potentia
